Giving Back to Rochester

Kelly Engler is committed to supporting the communities in which we live and work by volunteering her time and using her resources. Our ongoing commitment to building relationships in the community and empowering associates to get involved is central to our culture at Baird and our team.

We've engaged with several outstanding organizations, some of which are listed below.

Baird Gives Back

Baird Gives Back

For Baird Gives Back Week 2024 our team volunteered with the local Channel One Regional Food Bank and Food Shelf. The team packed over 600 pounds of oyster crackers, helping stock the food shelf for weeks and giving to families in need.

Our team makes community involvement a priority. We believe that getting involved in the community is the first step in building a culture of generosity and hard work. It is the cornerstone of our business.

Rochester Salvation Army

Rochester Salvation Army

Jill and I volunteered at the 2025 Salvation Army Toy & Joy Shop. The Toy & Joy Shop is for families with children 0-16 years of age. Guardians are given a time to choose gifts for each of their children from a selection of new items donated by organizations and members of the community. This year the Salvation Army Toy & Joy shop collected over 1500 toys to distribute to 350 families!

Salvation Army Bell Ringing

Salvation Army Bell Ringing

This year, me and Ann braved 20 degree weather and volunteered to ring bells for the Red Kettle Campaign! Captains Mike and Kelly delivered hot chocolate to help keep us warm! The funds raised as a Salvation Army bell ringer will make a year-round impact in our community through social services assistance, homeless shelters, disaster relief, children’s programs, rehabilitation services, anti-human trafficking, and more.

Jeremiah Program

Jeremiah Program

On March 4, 2025, our Baird team volunteered for the Cook4Kids program at Jeremiah Program. The Cook4Kids program offers a home cooked meal for JP families each Tuesday night. The program operates through the year, offering JP families one night a week where they can take a break from cooking, school work and share a meal with fellow JP families.

The Jeremiah Program is a national organization with a mission to disrupt the cycle of poverty for single mothers and their children, two generations at a time. The Jeremiah Program came to Rochester-Southeast in 2016. The Jeremiah Program is a charity aligned with our values at Baird and we have loved being able to help our community through this great organization.

Baird Gives Back

Many Baird associates team up during Baird Gives Back Week, an event held annually in the spring, to serve local community organizations that are in need of help. In 2024, associates donated nearly 6,500 volunteer hours to help support non-profit organizations and individuals across the firm’s global footprint.
